Repairs…

Although the materials used in my designs are very durable, accidents can happen and jewelry isn't’t indestructible so repairs may be necessary at times. Repairs can be made for pieces purchased either from Debi Mac Designs or from other designers.

For items purchased from Debi Mac Designs…

If you need a piece repaired, please email me with the following information:

  • Debi Mac style number (if you have it)
  • Name the item was purchased under
  • Date of purchase
  • Description of the piece (i.e. 16” necklace, single strand)
  • Details of the necessary repair (i.e. needs restringing, no beads need replacing or some beads lost and need replacing).
  • It would be most helpful if you can send a picture of the pieces, but not necessary.
  • Any repairs within 60 days of purchase will be done at no charge* to you (*except for shipping) as long as you return all the beads. If you are unable to return all beads, then charges for bead replacement will apply.**
(**Depends on the cost of the missing beads)

I will reply with an estimated cost to do the repair based on the information supplied in your email. If, upon receiving the piece, it is determined that repair costs will exceed the original estimate, I will verify the repair charges with you before proceeding. All shipping charges to be paid by the customer.

For items not purchased from Debi Mac Designs…

If you need a piece repaired/restrung that you purchased elsewhere, please email me the following information:

  • Your Name
  • Description of the piece (i.e. 16” necklace, single strand)
  • Details of the necessary repair (i.e. needs restringing, no beads need replacing or some beads lost and need replacing).
  • If the piece is completed unstrung then it would be most helpful if you can send a picture of the piece, prior to it breaking, but not necessary. I can remake the piece but without knowing how it was originally, I would just restring it as I see it with the beads provided.
  • I will reply with an estimated cost to do the repair based on the information supplied in your email. If, upon receiving the piece, it is determined that repair costs will exceed the original estimate, I will verify the repair charges with you before proceeding. All shipping charges to be paid by the customer.

    Restorations…

I have realized that a lot of people may have old necklaces and bracelets handed down to them and don’t really wear them. Maybe because structurally they are not in good condition, or perhaps they are already broken. And maybe because they just don’t like the style of the piece. Beauty can be found in any piece, but may just need a little help in letting the beauty of the individual beads shine through. Quite often, older necklaces have beautiful beads if you look at them individually, but are too overpowering together. Sometimes just adding a few crystals or spacers or even just something different in between them can create a gorgeous necklace that you actually want to wear. Of course, being something handed down to you gives it a real special meaning. Maybe you have been gifted with something that you really love but are afraid to wear because you aren't’t sure how strong it is. A lot of older necklaces were made using monofilament, which over time can become dry and brittle. That is a recipe for flying beads and unfortunately lost beads. But with a little attention they can be strong and you can show them off by actually wearing them.

Prices vary according to what you decide you want done with your piece. An easy way to determine what to do is to send me a picture. A digital picture or a scanned picture works great, but an actual picture will work as long as the detail of the piece can be seen. You need to let me know the style you like and if you want it to be casual or something dressier.

Necklaces can be various styles for example:

  • Choker
  • Short
  • Long
  • Wrapped
  • Lariats
  • Single, double, triple or even multiple strands
  • Twisted strand or multiple length strands
  • And clasps come in so many ways:

  • Lobster claw
  • Trigger
  • Hook & eye
  • 'S’ hook
  • Spring rings
  • Toggles
  • Restoring old pieces can be as close to the original or as far from the original piece as you want it to be. Once you make the decision to re-do your old beads, let me know and then send them to me. I will come up with a design that will please you, and email you a picture (before adding the ends) of the piece for your approval. I will redo it as necessary until you are satisfied with your NEW piece. Once you are happy, I will complete it and send it back to you. The final price will be calculated once you have given approval on the design. The reason for this is because I need to know exactly what beads are in the piece in order to calculate the cost.

    Monthly News

The modern birthstone for the month of November is Citrine or Yellow Topaz.

Citrine was traditionally used by Indian merchants to attract more wealth to their cashbox. It was considered the "Stone of Prosperity" Therefore, it was believed that placing it in your wealth corner would attract abundance.

It is a transparent crystal, however it may be cloudy.
